October 30, 1967 — July 14, 2026
Robert Jan Campbell, age 58, passed away peacefully in his home in Americus, succumbing to his two-year battle with metastatic prostate cancer, on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.
He was born in Sparta, Tennessee to Orville and Barbara Campbell, and grew up with a love for the outdoors. One of his passions was hiking, especially in the North Georgia and Smoky Mountains.
He is survived by one daughter, Karissa (Chris) of Kennesaw; four step-children: Stephanie (Beau), Jennifer, David (Marissa), and Ashley (Daniel); three brothers: Stan (Paula), Mike (Mayumi), and Rich (Maddie); two aunts: Patsy (Steve) and Judith; as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews; and his partner, Lisa Skipper.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date, and those details will be announced one finalized.
