Robert "Bobby" Lee Cavender, Jr.

Robert “Bobby” Lee Cavender, Jr., 84, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at Camellia Gardens of Life Care in Thomasville, Georgia.

Born on April 22, 1941 in Americus, Georgia, he was the son of the late Robert and Ruby Cavender. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy.

He is survived by his son, Chadwick Lee Cavender; his sisters, Faith Houston (Gary) and Bea Lawing; his brother, Chris Cavender (Anna); his grandchildren, Dustin Cavender and Andrew Lee Cavender; one great-grandchild; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette McDonald Cavender; his daughter Kimberly Lynn Cavender; and five brothers.

The family will receive friends for a visitation at Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St., on Friday, May 23 between the hours of 2:00PM and 3:00PM. A Graveside Service will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery at 3:00PM.
