Mary Dean Jones

Mary Dean Jones, 89, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2026 in Americus, Georgia.

Born on May 13, 1936, in Smithville, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Johnny and Bernadean Gosa. 

She is survived by her sons, Darian Jones and Terry Wynn; her daughters, Kim Royal and Stacy Bowen; her sister Brenda Gosa; her grandchildren, Brandon Pitts, Meagan Pitts, Rebekah Elsasser (Colby), Chloe Wodzinski (John); and her great-grandchildren, Carter Jones, Clayton Jones, and Kaylynn Elsasser. 

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Ray Jones; her sister, Joy Nixon; and her grandchildren, Adam Jones and Erik jones.

The family will receive friends for a visitation on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, beginning at 11:00 AM with a memorial service following at 12:00 PM.
