Mrs. Marjorie Ann Aycock Crenshaw, age 67, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center.
Services are planned for 4:30 PM on Sunday, June 14, at Lee Street Methodist Church with Dr. Dennis Stalvey officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday at the church, beginning at 4:00 PM.
Born January 30, 1959 in Sumter County, she was a daughter of the late Roy F. Aycock and the late Janette Dupree Aycock. She was a graduate of Plains High School, a member of the last graduating class. She obtained her culinary arts degree from Albany Technical College where she won the VICA Award and received tools of the trade, graduating top of her class. She was an exceptional cook and loved to make food pretty.
A devoted home maker, she was also a caregiver to her husband Dennis and to the elderly, having obtained CNA certification from Albany Technical College. Ann dearly loved her family, and she loved all children from diapers to school-age, and was affectionately known as "Auntie Ann". She enjoyed gardening and, after being disabled by a double stroke in November 2022, she was determined to live life to the fullest.
Very active in church since birth, she loved her Lord and spent daily time with Him in prayer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, her brother, her nephew, and several cousins.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Dennis Crenshaw, the love of her life, whom she married in January of 1999 after courting since 1991. Survivors also include her son John Olvera; her daughter Stephanie Croom (Jamie); sister Wanda Brenes (Larry); brother Jack Aycock; two grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins; and her fur babies: Baby Girl, Letty Mae, and Shiloh.
