Maria Irma Lopez Alegria, 52, passed away Monday, May 19, 2025 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Georgia.

She is survived by her loving husband, George Alegria; her mother and father, Jose and Maria Morales; her brothers, Refugio Lopez (Lindsey), Jose Lopez (Crystal), Rocky Lopez Stoneback (Tony), Roger Lopez (Christina); her sister, Jennifer Lopez (Nicolas Maya); her nieces, Alexis Lopez, Zoey Liliana Lopez, and Laila Anslee Lopez; her nephews, Dylan Lopez, Alex Lopez, Cameron Dowdey, and Cullen Dowdey; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Her family will be receiving friends for a visitation at Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St., on Wednesday, May 21 between the hours of 4:00 and 7:00 PM. Another visitation will be held on Thursday, May 22, between the hours of 4:00 and 7:00 PM with a Funeral Service beginning promptly at 7:00PM in the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee Street.
