Linda Diane Harris

Linda Diane Albritton Harris, 73, passed away Sunday, April 5, at her son's home in Oglethorpe, Georgia.

Born on February 6, 1953, in Americus, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Henry Albritton and Betty Dean McMillon. While Diane held various jobs throughout her life, she devoted most of her time to raising her grandchildren and caring for her beloved husband, John.

She is survived by her son, Jason Harris (Lisa); her daughter, Jennifer Hoffman; her former son-in-law, Chad Hoffman; her sisters, Debra Terrell (Johnny), Beverly Stockdale (Kelly), Bobbi McChargue (Joe Tabler), Pam Collins (Tommy), Debbie Roberts (Dennis), and Sharon Thompson (David); her sister-in-law, Joan Erkhart (Allen); her brother-in-law, Johnathan Harris (Angela); her grandchildren, Storm Hoffman, Jaxon Harris, and Axel Harris; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Along with both of her parents, Mrs. Diane is preceded in death by her husband, John Harris Jr.; her stepfather, Hank McChargue; her stepmother, Arleda Albritton; and her sisters, Susie McChargue and Donna Albritton.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Hancock Funeral Home, 427 South Lee Street, Americus, Georgia, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. A funeral service will follow in the chapel at 2:00 PM. Burial will be private.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Lisa Harris for the extra special care she took of Mrs. Diane during the last few months of her life.
