Jane Blocker Hendrix

Jane Blocker Hendrix passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center.

As were her wishes, no services will be held.

Born November 28, 1949 in Galveston, Texas, she was the middle daughter of the late James Harvey Hendrix, Jr. and the late Barbara Corcoran Hendrix. 

Jane was retired as Director of Lake Blackshear Regional Library, having held the position from1982 until 2006. She was a member of the Junior Service League and a "Pink Lady" volunteer at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center. She enjoyed reading, and loved traveling as long as her health permitted.

Survivors include her sisters: Susan Hendrix Cronin (Robert) and Sarah Hendrix Avery (John); two nephews: Stephen Cronin and James Cronin; and many friends.
