Howard Logan Cooper

Mr. Howard Logan Cooper, age 87, of Richland, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center.

All funeral services will be private.

Born November 13, 1938 in Webster County, he was the son of the late Walter Edd Cooper and the late Sarah Lou Slocumb Cooper. 

Mr. Cooper was a farmer and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Lou Brown Cooper; and by two sisters: Mattie Edith Davis and Annell Jones.

Survivors include his son, Eugene Cooper of Richland; sisters: Joyce Jones (Johnny) of Plains, Ethel Sellards of Plains, and Irene Wise (Frank) of Cordele; and several nieces and nephews.
