Frances Barbara Keeling

Mrs. Frances Barbara Keeling, age 85, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026.

A memorial visitation is planned for Saturday, January 10, between the hours of 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM at Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St.

Born July 20, 1940 in New York, New York, she was a daughter of the late Harold Hilton and the late Deloris Costlow Hilton. She was a retired bus driver for Kansas School Districts and a co-owner of KWC Auto Services in Americus.

Survivors include two daughters: Barbara Castleberry and Michelle Smith (Bill Brooke); son, Anthony Smith; son-in-law, Tom Smith; grandchildren: Rina Coy, Joshua Coy, J.D. Coy, Tracy Carpender, Mason Wade, Brian Smith (Opel), and Laura Smith; brother, Richard Hilton; sister-in-law, Mary Hilton; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her dog Sally.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Keeling; a son, Thomas Smith; a daughter, Diana Smith; a brother, James Hilton; sister & brother-in-law, Lois & Carl Sturgeon; son-in-law, Huck Castleberry; and her dog Little Bit.
