Edward Clark Roberts

Edward Clark Roberts, 85, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at Magnolia Manor in Americus, Georgia.

Born on April 11, 1940 in Tift County, Georgia, he was the only child of the late Carroll Walter Roberts and Thelma Clark Roberts. Clark grew up in Smithville and was an avid member of Smithville Baptist Church. He loved bright colors, and music. He had an extensive collection of CD’s that he enjoyed playing.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Edward Augustus Clark, Sr. and Elizabeth Booker Clark; his paternal grandparents, Preston Levy Roberts and Matilda Lee Roberts; as well as several cousins, including a very special cousin, Anne Jackson Jones. Clark is survived by several cousins.

Graveside services are planned for 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 9, at Smithville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Smithville Baptist Church (191 Church St. Smithville, GA. 31787) or to the League of the Good Samaritan in care of Magnolia Manor (2001 S. Lee Street Americus, GA. 31709).
