Charles Elliott Jordan

Mr. Charles Elliott Jordan, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at his home in Americus.

Born March 6, 1949, he was a son of the late Marvin Frank Jordan and the late Irene Cordell Jordan. A meticulous carpenter by trade, Mr, Jordan was an avid outdoorsman and loved reading. He was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Cathy C. Jordan; three brothers: Archie Wade Jordan, Gerald Marvin Jordan, and Chester Stout Jordan; and by a sister, Martha Jordan Lee.

Survivors include his son, Blake Reid (Emmy); grandchildren: Ella Reid and Bryce Reid; nephew, Alec Davis; and several other nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Friday, May 29, between the hours of 6:00 & 7:00 PM at Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St.

There will be a private family funeral service, with military honors, and interment at Andersonville National Cemetery with Rev. Wendy Peacock officiating.
