Jessie Marie Atteberry

Mrs. Jessie Marie Atteberry, age 79, passed away July 24, 2012, at her residence on McLittle Bridge Road in Americus. The family will hold a private time of reflection at a later date. Born July 20, 1933 in Eureka, CA to the late Bernard and Ida Mae Dougherty, Mrs. Atteberry was a member of the Baptist faith, a homemaker, and worked with local food banks for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Edward Atteberry, and a son, Michael Atteberry. She is survived by two sons: Terry Atteberry & Sandy of Sylvester and Dennis Atteberry & Glenda of Americus; a daughter-in-law: Roxanne Atteberry; two sisters: Mary Ann Day of Albany, OR and Susan Robertson of Buena Vista, GA; as well as a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Hancock Funeral Home, 427 South Lee Street, is in charge of arrangements.
